Veteran Community Case Management
Serving veterans who were previously homeless, who are transitioning into permanent housing from VA or non-VA emergency or transitional housing programs. Available services, needs assessment, plan development, identifying available resources, advocacy, contact and communication, and coordination of services. Referrals can be made if a veteran has not yet moved into identified permanent housing, or if they have been living in permanent housing and are at risk of losing the housing. Veterans eligible to enroll in this program must qualify for VA services and cannot be receiving case management services from any other program, i.e., HUDVASH, SSVF, Care Coordination.
Beacon House Pro Bono Legal Clinic
The Legal Clinic at Beacon House assists veterans seeking eligible benefits from the US Veterans Administration [VA]. Attorney Craig Bruno helps determine eligibility, assists with and submits necessary applications, and pursues necessary appeals. He also helps with landlord/tenant issues. Food Pantry
The main pantry is located at our headquarters at 1715 Union Boulevard in Bay Shore, available Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday 9am-1pm. This pantry supplies both residents and nonresidents with food and toiletries.
In addition to our main food pantry, we have satellite pantries in each of our residential locations.
Thrift Store
Located at our headquarters in Bay Shore at 1715 Union Boulevard, the thrift store provides our residents, and those in need in the community, with vouchers for clothing, furniture and household items.

Supplemental Services
United Veterans Beacon House provides additional, supplemental services from its own general fund, supported through generous donations from its corporate and individual supporters.
Some of the programs supported directly by Beacon House include:
- Holiday assistance
- Transportation
- Car donations, repairs/registration
- Moving assistance into permanent housing (vans/trucks and personnel to assist
- Recreational activities, including BBQs, fishing trips, sporting events, etc.
